To give credit for my inspiration for this game, I'd like to note that I first encountered the idea of a "sense meditation", in which one names animal senses and immerses oneself in them, in Wilderness Awareness School's Kamana Naturalist Training program back in 1996. Any Kamana students should recognize this.

Thank you Kamana program!

What has fascinated me since involves what worked best about that original exercise, what to accentuatue, what to drop, and what got consistent results. I can talk more about this if folks feel curious.

[...] Fortunately, Willem has started work on a book “that will sum up a lot of the basic games and exercises” that he teaches. He calls it The Rewild Adventure Guide, and he has started releasing draft excerpts over at the College. I encourage you to check out the first excerpt that explains how to heighten your senses by practicing The Sensory Tune-in Game.
Conversely, concentration on what is going on inside your body can also be a fun excercise and beneficial meditation. I'll try writing this similar to the things above.

Find dark quiet place, lay down. Employ earplugs and a blindfold if you have them. Pay attention to your heartbeat, feel and visualize the blood flowing through your veins and arteries. The adult body has 207 bones, assuming you haven't lost any, learn their locations and count them off gradually from toes to skull. Envision them glowing as you go, perhaps turning golden, as if your awareness has transmuted their makeup and imbued them with revitalizing energy. Learn the locations of all major organs residing within the skin and repeat the counting and imaginary enlivening procedure.

i love this, willem! i get jealous reading about SHIFT when i'm having such a hard time finding people in my area to practice body skills with. but with something like this, i could start practicing on my own.

kristen's art looks amazing, too. i can't wait to see what you two can do together.
