! Family for many people has become a very toxic experience. No safety, no privacy, no support, no guidance. The notion that we should be autonomous as individuals hurts our families as well. No time to spare to spend together, we spend our time we have drained and tired. We enter a negative feed-back loop once we start hiring professionals to do the things the family and tribe should be doing. We loose our skills, maybe even our memory of those skills.
